Another Great Tool to Add to Your Success Toolbox

November 3, 2006 on 7:07 am | In Self Improvement |

It is sad that in our society asking questions is often associated with not knowing something rather then trying to learn something new. As children we often conditioned that asking questions is something that is a sign of weakness. So as we grow up we start to ask less and less questions. This however may be a very tragic mistake as questions can be a powerful weapon in anybody’s success tool kit.

We often associate questioning with arguing or other negative aspects of conversing. This however can be far from the truth. When we ask questions what we are doing is trying to get more information. Essentially, we are learning.

By asking questions we activate reticular activation system in our brain. Our mind does not like when things are incomplete. So when the question is asked, what happens is that our mind goes to look for the answer to that question. If we won’t get one from the person we are questioning. The mind will keep looking until it finds a satisfactory response.

This innate trait of ours can be a powerful tool that we can use as a magnet to focus on getting things we truly desire in our life. All we have to do is to learn how to ask better quality questions, and let our mind loose to find the answers to what we seek.
